I love cold lonely places. My next planned visit to one of those cold lonely places is Svalbard and Jan Mayen in π³π΄. Likely next summer or autumn since I need permission to visit.

I watch that lady on YouTube in Svalbard. Is wild looking place. π€
Never heard of it. My curiosity is peaked though. So will def be looking into it.
I have this thing for cold miserable isolated places. π I think theyβre beautiful.
I have the same kind of thing for Southwest American-ish deserts π΅ ποΈ
There is an island between Alaska and Russia that you would like. Its a native only Island, but theyβll usually let you fly in if you ask in advance.
Saint Laurence Island.
Unbelievable landscapes.
I bet! Alaska is another place Iβd love to explore a bit more. Iβve flown over the Aleutian in 2018. Absolutely stunning from above.
We're cut from similar cloth in that regard, I think. I thrive and most at peace in such places. The winter months and SAD only effect me (minimally) when stuck in the city for prolonged periods.
My fave winter morning lake spot.
nostr:npub1mu9wmykl7qx5llk69axd3rvk0hzhdd25jsqtj2hmnzjpn2sxum6s8jjj0t and I were just talking about Svalbard. I hope you get to go.
Thanks. I hope so too. Iβve been planning to go for years now.
You will definitely go. Please send pics. And nostr:npub17x7htjej3hgcqwqj86u9yvpcunhw6nz4zclzph2zfnlwe4v0yp8qrxvgap isnβt that cool we were just talking about this. If I get rich I will pay for a group trip for anyone that wants to go

Just remember Svaldard requires a long gun for Polar bear protection. Wise legal requirement.
I would probably also carry a 44 Magnum. Or a 10 mm with Double Tap, Buffalo Boar or Underwood Extreme Penetrators, minimum.
But both guns can be hard for a woman to shoot. You'd need to practice with them beforehand.
All bears are extremely aggressive and will come at you very fast and relentlessly. Especially Kodiak and Polar bears..π«
