Is Pino a bad choice?

I mean Pinot noir
Not from my knowledge. Pinots tend to be lighter, so they won’t balance as well. In the end, it’s all personal preference. So try it.
I gave a gift of scotch, cheese, chocolate and wine and couldn't remember what Pinot noir was like. I guessed it was on the sweet side but not fortified and not as bitter as cabernet or merlot.
