"Forcing freedom" on everyone would be an oxymoron, right? It violates the NAP.

It will probably require existing governments to collapse. Then, the survivors have to have an alternative in place, hopefully something freer than what preceded it. And I think you have to be armed and prepared to defend your newfound freedom from all of those ready to try to take it from you.

But so long as people accept force and fraud as an acceptable means of organizing society, people will continue to try to usurp authority over their fellow humans. So perhaps it is an education issue, or as we Christians say, a "heart" problem. People need to realize it is morally wrong to violate another's freedom and assert authority over them without their consent. People have to begin to follow the "Golden Rule" of treating others the way you want to be treated (i.e., respectfully, with your consent, in a beneficial manner, etc.) versus according to the "Iron Rule" of coercion and fraud, the system we currently live under.

Can we ever get there? Some don't think we will until God personally establishes His kingdom on Earth. Even then, it would be a monarchy, because realistically, humans are herd creatures, and look for someone to follow. But Christians are called to make followers of Christ Jesus and to teach people that He is king, and to this extend His kingdom and rule. As more people submit to His rule in this life, His kingdom grows and we can potentially become more free. But if it doesn't happen in this life, we can look forward to it happening in the next.
