That's awesome ! My boys are 11 and 6...keen on making sketches etc. How would you guide them to improve their quality and interest?

I'd make sure they are drawing things that they are passionate about so they keep their enthousiasme. I'd have a look at the spots that most need improvement (proportions, structure, rendering different textures, composition, anatomy) and give them tips that would enable them to make progress.
