I don't know what my tone comes off as on here, but I NEVER mean to sound condescending. In this space, we should all be constantly learning.

Coming from the Podcasting 2.0 realm, my terminology may differ from yours. I first interacted with my husband's Lightning node in 2020 and built my own in 2021. I'm used to keysend payments or "boosts," updating my own #RSS feed by hand every Thuraday, and #v4v.

Really, I'm just bullish on utilizing protocols for the sake of keeping art & media decentralized and sovereign...and I want to bypass the emerging platforms to teach ANYONE interested to also do it.

Do you know of a good way to merge the #v4v 2.0 spec with nostr? AFAIK, to get a split from rss you need a ln address in the xml block.

For music on wavlake, this works fine, I can find the correct thing.

But I want to make the split go to a npub associated with content that doesn't exist on wavlake (and is not otherwise published), but they are on nostr. Any ideas how to do this?

Yes! Just depends on the wallet or node where they want sats to land.

If you want to receive sats to a Fountain wallet for example, we simply add that Lightning address as a value tag in the music's RSS feed just like you've done for your podcast:

Ex:

You can find any Fountain user value tag to copy and paste at fountain.fm/@username by replacing "username" with theirs.

Feel free to DM me with details or clarify if I didn't answer your question correctly.

Thanks. I don't think I realized the fountain user name as a ln address lookup bit.

I'll let you know if I get stuck!
