For instance, I'd love to find more people to follow with interests in privacy tech, FOSS, Catholicism, Sabbatarianism, or Linux Even Monero.
I just get the impression many people here are overly concerned with making a buck, or sats. Takes the fun out of social media.
I'd like if the kind of people I know on MeWe and Mastodon were on Nostr.

Agreed. I did return to the faith partly thanks to the bitcoin crowd here. Bitcoin is a great segue as it shifts people from short to long time preferences. The next logical step is the eternal time preference. Would love to see and share more about Catholicism here. Tempus fugit, memento mori ✝️

This is one reason I blocked all other forms of media. If I want to engage in a topic, I do so here. So far, isn't that lively haha. But using other platforms wont help that. Now, I use protocols instead.
I look forward to the day where Nostr becomes a place for the left and the right, and those who are politically atheist, to meet each other halfway.
And while there's been a lot of talks of Nostr not doing to well compared to X,Y,Z - this is the only real public town square right now.
And I look forward to the day where the term "bitcoiner" will no longer be special - only because everyone globally is a bitcoiner.

The topics that I have conversations with people on here about are more diverse than they were six months ago. The trend is moving in the right direction. Do your part to post content and start conversations about things other than Bitcoin and Nostr apps.
Nostr being mostly Bitcoin does not help that either...
