yay got my zorin OS install back up and running, my test relay working again... haha lost all its database but meh...

garuda was awesome but getting steam to work, a nightmare

if you are too busy to be fussing with arch linux type stuff and just got new hardware because you believe in open source... just go with zorin

i know it's a hard one to be stuck with an ubuntu derivative but this one is good, and they really don't make that much changes, just the important things

I have to say the arch-install script really does a great job of abstracting away the annoying install process. I had a really nice customized i3 install setup on my laptop until my ssd died and then I tried arch-install with KDE and everything works great. Still probably not best for first-timers, but very cool!

i miss the days where i could concentrate long enough to learn these things

these days i struggle so much with it and it's almost as much of a disability as being half blind

you're ahead of most people already doing what you're doing using Linux and FOSS tools 🤙

finding the ones that work best for our needs is what matters most. 🫡🫂
