Question. Where does everyone align politically? Obviously no judgement from me as I've felt politically homeless for a number of years! I've found my Kindred Spirits irl. I shutter to say this phrase... But politically I'm a *cringes* safe space. I absolutely hate that therapeutic language was overtaken by the cringiest of leftists.

Anyways, I'd like to know what people think, where y'all stand on the political spectrum.

Personally, I find myself to be fairly centrist. No. Not a fence sitter. I have strong opinions. And being brought up around my uncles and grandparents... cousins... I was given a plethora of various political and social views to sift through. Socially I'd say I'm fairly liberal in the classical sense. I wouldn't call myself progressive at all - although I'm much more open minded than my conservative friends. A little insight into the type of person I am -- I like to know and study the literature of anybody I'm debating. So, I've read Marx, studied social constructionism, read up on Rand... and God damn the list goes on. I do this because my uncle John taught me to when I was a wee lad. He said, "the best offense is to know exactly who you're playing."... Basketball metaphors because we all are ballers lol!

I reccomend that approach to anyone. Debating on trans issues taking the opposition to a progressive? Read up on social constructionism. You'll find that knowing the literature shows your opponent hasn't actually read it. If they had they wouldn't use, "gender is a social construct" as an argument. In fact, they'd realize they've just invalidated all their views on race (as race is also a social construct). Debating a Nazi? You get the point.

Anyways, if anyone is still reading let me know your political views.
