Do you give advice to other people in the gym?
Discussion
no, they always give me advice ahhahahahahaha
I literally sweat more when someone comes up to me then during my whole workout ahhahshaha
than*
Then you should be the expert by now 🙃
ahhahahahahah
How often does it happen to you?
idk not too often anymore... but people come up to me a lot to ask me some random questions ahahahaha
Haha like what?
like why I don't tie my hair (i get this one the most), what time is it (this is so weird to me hahahaha who goes anywhere without there phone these days), why I use the keg curl machine for hip thrusts hahahahah ik it's weird but I like it better than the hip thrust machine 😂
their phone* leg curl machine* I need to read before I reply ahahhahaha 😅
You got some very curious people at your gym
Why don’t you tie your hair?
hahahahahaha because its very thick and long and when I'm doing some cardio on the treadmill or sth high intensity it hurts my scalp ahhaahhshs idk if that makes sense but I just can't... some days I braid it but that makes my hair wavy and its not always the vibe I want 😅🤣
Didn’t you say your cardio was dancing around in your apartment? 🧐
also i like the stairmaster in the gym
💯 because nobody gave me advice
if they look like they’re going to hurt themselves but you never know how people will react these days lol
Yeah, constantly. Woop woop, it’s the sound of tha police. 🚨 I arrest them for wrong technique, and give out temporary bans
No just awkwardly look at people then quickly look away if they catch me
ahahhahajajajajaj relatable
Only if something is extremely dangerous, otherwise don't talk to me and I won't talk to you.
Almost never. Only times have been to gently remind folks who are just starting out on some of the unwritten rules like things that are frowned upon:
- Curling on the squat rack
- Doing sets in front of the dumbbell rack
- Using more than 2 sets of dumbbells at a time.
- Not letting others work in on machines.
But also encouraging reminders like
- anyone has the same right to the equipment as the strongest guy there.
- no one is judging you and most are happy help so don’t be afraid to ask for a spot unless the the person is wearing a hoodie and headphones.
Yes actually.
But only for other clients, which I frequently see or have seen and if I really have something to prevent injury or correct a technique, which is not a minor thing.
Someone this week was doing deadlifts with 100kg, and he had the bad 2cm away from his chins when pulling up…
