I'm not actually sure if Turkey is in the middle east. But as far as sand folk go, I've always been pleasantly surprised by how nice they have been to me. Turkish folk and Iranians have all been super nice. Not sure why someone one be specifically racist towards Turks. They seem alright. I suppose there are nice folks everywhere I've just never met a dick head Turk.

Funny that I am literally in Turkey right now. It is in south-east Europe and south of Syria and and it shares a border with Bulgaria. From what I have observed Turks are like that because they aren't westernized yet. They are a liberal society in the good meaning of the word (freedom loving). Their government doesn't try to control them that much and their community and connection is very strong.
