Agree. And it is kinda sad. Part of what I like about social networks is seeing my IRL friends and family sharing their lives... But oh well. Surely one day the ads, sponsored content and maybe social credit scores will move them over ๐ค nostr:note14acg9a8tfk9p6k3tzar7r7elqzf6h55a00r6j4xqc03a82672k5szaemn3

They will get over when their friends will be there. You mus purple pill the first 5% or so to get the snowball rolling. Start with peeps who have reach and audience that would follow them over here.
I am always trying! I even wrote a guide to setting up Nostr back in 2023. Got a few people to try but so far none have stayed. Their incomes are tied to their already successful networks... and in some ways I actually like this about #nostr. I don't feel like every second person only wants to be online friends to eventually sell me something ๐ฌ๐ ๐งก๐ซ
I like meeting the people here and hope to meet a lot of people IRL at conferences and on my travels. My kind of people. ๐ฏ๐๐ฆ๐ฆฉ
Not every seed planted produces a plant. Some stay asleep longer than others but what matters is that you planted the seed. It would be nice to see them all sprout, but alas, that is left for the next one who will try to have them sprout, maybe dowsing them with water ๐
