which is the better recommendation for beginners?
1. stacking sats with lightning
2. stacking sats on an exchange
I think I would prefer 1. until 5 mio sats and then swapping to onchain.

I stopped recommending Lightning to newbies at all.
Newbies don’t want to spend #Bitcoin anyway. Most just want NGU.
In my experience the step from stacker to user is about few month to 1 year and in that time they can learn about the downsides of lightning and stay away from it completely.
Much better than going with the only solution #lightning has: custodial apps. 🤮
