I was thinking last night, after I couldn't get onto Nostr Nests cause my paper-cup-and-string Nostr setup had failed me , is that this move by Apple , is indictive of a broader play by co-ordinated centralised authorities that dominate most of the activity on the web. There is a strong desire to redefine the web, and how users interact with it.
Whitney Webb , and her website UnlimitedHangout.com is an excellent source of information regarding global trends in power dynamics. She notes that there is a concerted "two pronged attack" going on at the minute by globalist institutions. On one hand, there is a concerted effort by governments worldwide to put everything on the internet, but at the same time , to alter the internet itself, to restrict it and "reign it in".
For example, they want you using social media, just not Damus, and so on and so on....
I am just going to blast through a quick series of topics that ran through my head when I heard of this Apple fiasco in no particular order.
-Cyber Polygon
-Digital Gulag
-Digital Identitites
-Cyber False Flag "Terrorism"
-RESTRICT act (US)
-Online Harms Bill (UK)
-Digital Services Act (EU)
-How Covid 19 weaponised the idea of "disinformation online"
I am a bit rambling now , but if you can imagine , that was just some of the stuff that quickly came to the foreground of my thought.
What do other people think?
