@ npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s Yo Will, I just switched keys to a vanity one (#[0]), but loading the new one in Damus caused a lot of issues. So far:

- I don't see recommended relays (just the "Relays" part)

- Not able to add or delete any relays (buttons are unresponsive)

- Nothing loads (surely because of that relays issue)

- When I try to follow someone, the button switches to "Unfollowing..." but doesn't follow even waiting for a long time

- On my profile, I only see "Followers"

When I logout and go back to the old account, everything works normally. I tried both the App Store and TestFlight versions, to reinstall and to reboot the phone.

I guess the core of the issue is that I can't add any relays?

Did you try to login and add relays on another client and come back in Damus ? 🤷‍♂️

Damus only creates contact lists on account creation, if you create a key externally you’ll need to create a contact list externally as well with another client that does dangerous stuff like that

The app is really unusable, could be cool to add some warning if no contact list is found, or similar. Maybe even propose to create one (with a big ⚠️ haha)?

just need a warning popup that say "you're about to overwrite your contact list and start from scratch, are you sure you want to continue"

Btw, looks like Damus keeps in cache that an account have been deleted, even after logging with another key. I created an account then deleted it and reimported the current one, and I'm getting some random alerts "Delete Account: Logout" that log me out

I have vanity one and same issues like you on Damus, but when I login in Iris client everything seem normal then I login Damus again it’s work at that time. So I think Damus not recognize outside vanity key, we need some clients recognize it and broadcast first.

fix by logging into the deleted account with a non-damus client, edit the profile to remove any “deleted” references. can then log back in with damus
