Okay, so the vast majority of rainbow marketing is born from these DEI policies. Toyota's memo says they'll no longer participate in the corporate DEI schemes including "LGBTQ" events.
The introduction of DEI saw a serious ramp up of rainbow marketing. It's just one of the forms of identity politics used to divide otherwise normal and agreeable people.
look at it this way. people are people they are each unique (and yes we have similarities and also sometimes these similarities aren't the same for each person). don't look at one piece of data on a person, make it into a 'group' (community) and think that is reality. that way is the way of racism, sexism, gender hate, yadda yadda.
logically speaking the idea of any community like this is abhorrent. there's no way some gay community manager exists who keeps a list. further, I've never agreed to be in this community and I disagree strongly with what it has morphed into.
this ever widening rainbow tent now includes heterosexual xdressing kink and has decided to pretend that it is transsexuality. these kinks they keep adding on to their flag are not genders. they are sexual proclivities.
this shit just all fails the most basic smell tests.
we have equality. time to stop soapboxing and virtue signalling.

As a married 55 year old gay guy who is integrated into society...
I will categorically state:
- that I think Gay Pride events are pointless and stereotypical,
- that I do not require 'support' to function because homosexuality isn't a disability,
- that overtly gay characters on tv and film are stereotypes and cannot be otherwise because only those stereotypes stand out enough to make it obvious enough that they don't have to wear an "I'm gay" name tag,
- and that overtly 'gay' advertising is offensive stereotyping.
Oh also, fuck the LGBTQ+infinity flag.
Lots of us think that and we all know there is not a (fucking) 'community' as well. We are people, not stereotypes.

I have a strong distaste for corporate DEI policies because I know that they're simply tactics to implement race and gender communism all while dividing people further with identity politics.
