Had this exact same thought recently. There seems to be growing demand for this. Iā€™d love to see a car manufacturer offer a model stripped of all the unnecessary tech and make a simple, reliable, and affordable car

Unfortunately in the US the amount of mandatory safety features precludes this at scale.
