Digital scarcity does not exist. A word can be copied over and over for diminishing costs. So the last twenty years have been a battle to recreate it. DRM, copyright, walled gardens, designed obsolecense. Artificial scarcity. Bitcoin.
What if this also applies to land, food and energy and our laws, traditions and cultures act as bitcoin does for digital abundance ?
Perhaps energy, oil, nuclear and beyond are not limited, rare or unrenewable. Perhaps the wells keep refilling, and volcanoes keep creating new land. But our stories keep us sane.
