His username is correctly defined in the nostr.json file, if everything matches in his client, it should be validated.

Yeah, I put both in, but his current username and validation settings don't match each other, except he likes validated.

Ok looking at #[7] nostr.json file answered all my questions lol

So they don't have to match and .. you dummy need the username at all. Awesome.
