The electrician for my solar system is so incompetent, he failed updating our system to the newest version. He tried it 1 year!

The problem was, that our battery only charged at max with 800 Watts.. because the system was in a secure mode..

Yesterday I had enough.. I created an electrician account for myself and updated it myself.. took me about 30 minutes and now the system works perfectly..

Wtf...

Nice. Yeah in more and more cases doing stuff oneself is the better option. Time for some "load balancer" I guess? 😅

Now it's much easier for me to activate my miners.. I don't have to wait the whole day to charge up the batteries. I'm so excited 😊

You're amazing!

Well done 🤙

so much great tech being held back by retarded business models and shitty software

We know a good electrician, but you have to wait months for an appointment.

What solar charge controller are you using that limits the input wattage?

It ran in a secured mode so that nothing gets damaged I think.. now that everything got the correct and newest firmware, everything works fine. It's a system from Sungrow

Good! I'm glad you got it sorted in an easy fashion.

I'm still waiting for the weather to settle a bit warmer before I put up the other two panels I have, but I'm still very pleased with the two that are currently on my roof. I really need more battery storage, but I've already found the next set of cells that I'll be using to build another 15+kWh of storage. (I currently have 5+kWh of storage to get me started.)

It sold the rest directly to the grid until yesterday. But now I can use it way more efficient. It's crazy 😂

Oh, grid-tied. Yeah, I can see why that could be frustrating.
