What android app lets you connect to your own node and read your xpubs? I dont need to spend from my hardware wallet remotely, but I do need to be able to receive on chain payments when on the go while connected to my own node at home ensuring the payment went through.

Now that Samouri / Sentinel is no longer a "safe" option....

I have tried green wallet every year at least once.

today i tried it again. It will not connect to any of my electrs servers.

Hence why I made this note 😉

I tried Blue wallet in the past and had the same issue.

I will try it again now too. thank you.

thats too bad, i succeeded setting up both as watch only wallet for a similar need of yours. you could try electrum wallet too

electrum also failed to connect

ok will try orbot, have used it in the past but was too slow.

maybe there is a way to have it only apply to a specific app if i recall correctly

specifically, i had the wallet in sparrow, i exported the xpub or maybe zpub as a qr on my lap top, i scanned the qr with green wallet running on my electrs, with tor on in app, and it worked 🤷‍♂️

Thats what i just did exactly the same way as you from sparrow.

Both Green and Blue failed to connect 😟

Sparrow connects to the same node without issues.

hmm, darn. have you tried using orbot vpn instead of native app tor? sometimes i have better luck with that

if you run a start9 OS, it has specter as a service and can be accessed via tor from any web browser, so if you had the wallet in that specter service, yiu coukd check it from anywhere.
