One theory on why so many people, especially men, are depressed in today’s world:

I would bet 50-80% of jobs today are “bullshit jobs”. And whether people want to admit it or not, your soul knows when you’re not doing your best work or when you’re not actually creating value.

Spend up to 2/3 of your waking hours on bullshit, and I can guarantee you’ll be unhappy.

Also, women are now working much more. Which emasculates men and has destroyed the traditional relationship and family dynamic.

I absolutely think there is merit to this. I talk to my wife about it a ton. Two working parents is so detrimental to kids but also men. It’s just too much to work two jobs, eat nutritious food, keep an orderly house, etc.
