i'm looking at your node on amboss. How work intensive is managing capacity? I tried managing capacity on my node 6 months ago, but gave up after a while bc I was constantly fighting with in/out capacity. I reckon I probably didn't put enough time in understanding how to do that efficiently. Anything you can recommentd?

I am still a student of LN for the best answer possible, i will tag #[3] and #[4] to support that answer. They must be asleep now but i hope they'll see this.

My only advice is not to rebalance too often as your cost of doing so will outweigh returns. Your channels are living entities and must be managed. If one channel shows a lot of activity you may want to rebalance that one first

I'm still not sure at this point if it's art or science 😃

thank for advice

In my experience, it takes a little work but like someone's mentioned in this thread there are programs or scripts out there that can help automate things (lndg, regolancer, lightning jet)

My tagging is not really working, but the OG node runners like Erin Malone, KP, Nitesh, and Darthcoin may have good insight

Thanks a lot for sharing!

I’d recommend installing LNDg and enable auto fees and let it run. There’s a video from Jonathan Levi where he had to travel and left the node like that for weeks in full auto and performed well. There’s a learning curve for that tool, lots of data, but totally worth it.

great, thank you, I'll check!
