Oof, rough day to come back. Apple is demanding Damus get rid of zaps because apple isn’t getting their 30% cut, and if Damus doesn’t comply it’s getting removed in 14 days

So, Apple is taking 30% of every PayPal transfer.

No, only for the “sale” of content or media transferred through the app. In PayPal, there’s nothing being transferred *in-app* in exchange for the money, so those aren’t “apple taxed”. However, just tipping on a post is seen as transferring the money in exchange for the content which is in the app.
