I think that is the real reason the ETFs were approved, to create a giant confiscatable honey pot of Bitcoin. One false flag incident implicating Bitcoin and a very easy 6102 attack nets millions of Bitcoin with an email and press release.

HODLRs should have passports and exit plans. El Salvador obviously, but probably a dozen more good candidates out there.

My counterargument is “who benefits?” That is, under what circumstances and to whose benefit would a 6102 occur?

A regular individual would benefit from stealing Bitcoin because they would then have money they otherwise wouldn’t. The State doesn’t have this problem. It can print currency in any quantity.
