Absolutely! But not by making and keeping them dependent on subsidies, but by buying their products from them at fair prices!

Yes buy local and directly from farmers ideally.

But subsidies in terms of Diesel is misleading by the media. Imagine you call something subsidized because you don't steal it (Diesel tax).

The problem is the whole system of agriculture in Europe. And you can't campaign for less government on the one hand, but on the other hand call it disobedience (and be happy about it) when farmers blackmail the continuation of subsidies. Moreover, it is rarely the small farmers who shout so loudly. I live in a rural area and know and am friends with farmers. They don't want subsidies, they want a complete reform of agricultural policy and farming. The consumer is also in demand here. What are they willing to pay for meat, milk and grain? Our farmers receive so many subsidies that they account for up to 40% of their income. Diesel plays a rather subordinate role in this. Is that a functioning system?
