GM #nostr - Got a question for mums and dads. My niece recently told me, "I don’t know how much is a lot of money." She’s only 8, but so smart. I tried explaining that "a lot" can be a different amount to each person depending on their circumstance. But it didn’t quite land. We play Monopoly and "shops" with toy money, but she still doesn’t grasp things like that a $500 bill is the same value as five $100 notes. She saw having more notes as having more money. How do you explain money value to a child? Any tips for teaching this concept in a way that sticks? Would love to hear ideas 🙏
