Rather than trying to keep a fire going or use a propane heater overnight, ive just started using an extra wool blanket, a hoodie, and a hot water bottle.

Cheaper, less labor, and man is it cozy. It was 15 degrees F last night, but i stayed warm.

I found that if I let it get that cold, I get too much condensation, which is bad for the longevity of my trailer, so... I keep the t-stat set at 65.

huh.

using wood heat seems to have mitigated that for us. condensation issues pretty much disappeared when i installed the woodstoves.

Yup. They would, but I've got an electric fireplace and a propane furnace in the trailer, until I get my miner running in place of the fireplace and also the mini split, which is coming in spring.

Have you heard of hot rocks? When camping we would put river rocks in the fire. At the end of the night get them out of the fire, wrap them in a junky towel and put them at your feet. They're still warm in the morning. Similar to hwb but hold heat longer

We're experiencing the same cold snap. It's tough. Sending warmth and blessings

I like it warm... Double layers and heavy blankets. I like the idea of hot water bottle! Gonna give it a go. I've been needing to get an enema bag, so that's perfect.
