Great insight. I've got a musician in my family, too. A professional studied drummer. I'm trying to purple pill him, but I fear he might be deterred because of "bitcoin illegal" and false beliefs like this.
Although there might be a big first mover advantage and far better scalability effects (as you described here) for artists than we think?!

Yeah I think there are many advantages to using nostr now. First mover advantage, #V4V transactions, potentially amplified outreach thanks to having 1 npub across the whole protocol, easier to connect with the innovators and get involved in shaping the future of the whole thing, and most importantly, I think from an artist/content creator perspective: no censorship, no middlemen, no handing over the rights of your work to some counterparty. It's very grassroots.
