My kid wanted to go to a Melanie Martinez concert but the ticket price was out of control.

That’s because of scalpers like Ticketmaster buying tickets in bulk with absolutely no ethics.

My question is: can Ticketbot show us a different way forward for artists unbound by contract obligations with ASCAP/BMI affiliated labels as they grow in popularity? nostr:note10uf3jhl5htp6qmjg8590gqtv76523tqg9s0r2tv0upxuhxc7xhds53zprg

Will listen. Thank you!

It seems that a ticket (or group of tickets) need to be tied to a profile (npub) of an actual attendee. Resale should be a somehow impossible, like the actual admission should be then synonymous with a proof of purchase.

I don’t have an issue with a one off resale. It’s the one off buying of 10 k tickets and resale of those.

If a npub could buy a max of 5 tickets that would really help.
