the people who run US Inc want it to stay solvent. they needed business people to go in and clean it up so it can run another 500 years. the politicians weren't able to deliver.

Yes, but I am thinking this is more spiritual in nature and not mere flesh and blood.

Everyone really should the Bible every day. Take a look at Ephesians 6:12

"For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places."

Read over the book of Job and keep in mind Job didn't have the Holy Spirit at the time but he knew alright.

People are really going to have to start to pay attention now and the ONLY way to do this is be in the Bible every day!

Another great verse is Joshua 1:9

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."

I just finished Job earlier this week. he actually believed he was blameless through most of the trial. Elihu reminds him that he lacks humility. that is the Spirit speaking through Elihu, so in a sense Jon does have the Spirit of God with him. and then in the end God speaks directly to him, requiring him to forgive his friends before he can be restored.

Hopefully the people will find in themselves the same humility and bow before God in Christ. it is the only remedy.
