My gardening frens.

Here is what I believe to comfrey in the first two photos. I’ve positively ID’s comfrey in my garden. But these are growing on the side of the road and are a different colour flower.

Are they in fact Comfrey?. Be a sweet score with like 30 of them there.

Last two photo’s are of what I think is Common Mullen. Am I right on this?

Any thoughts and insights are much appreciated.

GM! This doesn’t look like it’s comfrey!

Comfrey is „hairy“ and has like wings that follow from one leaf stem to the leaf under it. And the flowers look more like little bells 🔔

Thanks Franny.

Damn. I was really hoping it was. This road is littered with them.

I had seen other colors of the flower in others photos but your right. They are as bell shaped as the ones I have in my garden

I Think, but not sure yet - Have ID’d It as Foxglove.

In my foraging book, a couple died mistaking it as Comfrey … Made a lethal dose of tea.

I wonder how this happens 👀 there is so much mindfulness needed when collecting plants.

Never munch on a hunch.

Nice comfy you got there.
