Fiat is exclusively debt-based. This means that government debt is never repaid, but is constantly rolled over. To refinance debt, governments must issue more debt.

Thus, interest rates must fall over time and central banks cannot stop printing money otherwise the Ponzi fails.

the system is so bad they don't even have enough paper cash to cover a small fraction of the debt mountain.

Unfortunately this is not clear to a lot of people because of the use of jargon and a huge set of nonsense financial products that only fuel more debt and risk.
