Sometimes i like to experiment with adding different seasonings to my homemade mayo. In this batch i added black pepper and some of my homemade hot pepper powder that i ground up recently. When you make condiments yourself, the possibilities are endless. #MakeYourOwn #homesteading #grownostr #foodstr

Base Recipe Homemade Mayo

(I double this recipe for a quart jar, and use a stick blender)

1 egg

1 cup avocado oil

1 tsp dijon mustard

1 tsp lemon juice

1 tsp apple cider vinegar

1/4 tsp salt

Crack egg into jar.

Add remaining ingredients into jar, adding oil last.

Mix with stick blender till its the consistency you like, and thats it. No nasty oils or additives. https://cdn.nostrcheck.me/8d9d2b77930ee54ec3e46faf774ddd041dbb4e4aa35ad47c025884a286dd65fa/11560cf6913d3cafc6e2bbd25e6543b7cfeedb9b54967403f1e65fbc754f7b78.webp

I do this too and can't understand why anyone buys mayo, especially if you own ducks or chickens.

Yes! Its so much tastier than anything you can buy, plus avocado oil mayo is very expensive these days.
