In fact, the core devs can change the protocol, which turns a trust less system into a flawed one.
These are not bureaucrats.
These are protocol designers that more or less agree with Hayek and Nakamoto.
And there are the nide runners and miners and thing called consensus. None of this is done via fiat, not top-down, not government-friendly in any way

Development should happen on top of Bitcoin, not at the protocol level.
