Persian silk tree (Albizia julibrissin), also lovingly known as the Bastard Tamarind. It’s a fast growing nitrogen fixer that thrives in poor soil and has amazing fragrant blooms in mid-summer. Also supposedly good fodder for livestock, and the hummingbirds and insects love it.
