People who hate EVs are retarded. Its the government mandating and subsidising this or that market activity that should draw their attention, not the cars. If people like electric cars, they will buy them. Don't try to use beliefs you don't hold to attack the wrong enemy, like claiming we are burning coal to charge them, or the environmental damage from mining exceeds the damage from CO2. These are all red herrings. Focus on the real enemy, the statists that want to force you to make someone rich by manipulating regulations and printing money to prop up their delusional solution to a non-problem.

Maybe it’s the math? The fact that the amount of energy and fossil fuels used to create said EV will never be recuperated using the produced vehicle. Same goes for solar panels , but I am not sure ,, I can’t afford to buy 16 dollar a gallon energy to drive one much less pay for it because of the price tag, that’s not what I believe, it’s just the sad truth I guess.
Its none of their business. If I want an EV, and I want to pay through the nose for it, that's my decision.
The government forcing a technology on people are banning another is evil. Lying about the benefits of one technology over another is also evil. Both need to be addressed. I do agree that anyone who wants to buy and drive an EV should be allowed to do so. I just don't think they should be encouraged to do so by regulation or lies.
i've lived with two small EV transport devices and i prefer and will be getting a good old fashioned muscle powered bicycle in the near future
the technology is still very immature and the power density is low and the regulations around power levels are extremely stupid especially for unlicensed EVs like ebikes and scooters, 250w power is not enough to move an adult male up all but the most gentle slopes and even 350 is piss and when you are going to 500W you then also will start to need more capacity to maintain range
they are just piss poor at range, and the combination of an adequate power moter and battery weight leave you with an efficiency that is below even a crappy 30 year old diesel powered vehicle
people don't even talk about that, the power loss from generator to charging point is already 20%, and the weight cost and further efficiency losses due to the battery don't compensate the difference compared to internal combustion
ICE has a perfect balance of efficiency and weight that EV can't compete with until you can quadruple the energy density of the battery, period.
and look at what they have running some of the charging points in more outlying areas... yeah, diesel engines lol
move the pollution, but increase it, and replace it with a superior smug elitist attitude, no thank you
