6 months ago, on my birthday, we got the news that my wife had cancer.
I made a choice then, to believe that in spite of how things appeared, that there were deep and valuable gifts to be found in what we would walk through next.
What happened over the next 6 months was a deepening of our marriage and love for each other that is hard to express. We also experienced the tangible presence of God showing up at every significant medical event, and miraculous provision to pay for them.
My wife also had some deep realizations about how she wanted to live differently.
Both of us did.
My wife returned to work today, cancer free. Tomorrow is her birthday.
I don't think I ever read this note. I think I was in the middle of my house move. How is your wife?

I know we talked about her recovering and things being better. But it's been a minute
