No, I don’t agree with that. It’s not a silo because there is no one preventing anyone from using it for anything else. What nostr does have is a strong and prevalent community of people who like Bitcoin and freedom, but that’s not a silo. It will be good to see other communities make use of nostr too. There already are some growing, such as musicians, and it will be good to see more.

Yes maybe not a silo but a pool of people and content. Anyone can join and leave as they please. The pool just happens to be full of likeminded people right now.
However, I think more variety will come slowly because of zaps. Being able to send the hardest money on a social network will eventually be the deal breaker.
