i run ubuntu on my daily driver but i have been running arch or manjaro for some time

the most critical system is the kernel, the rest doesn't matter nearly as much

ubuntu has been bad, for it's whole history, at keeping the kernel stable, i have it disabled as an update to stop it stomping on my setup

it matters even more now with amd support, kernel 6 is shockingly patchy for amd GPU/APU support, i am just running kernel 5 for now, and refuse to move until there is a solid security reason to

Try alpine maybe. Or good old debian.

just ubuntu 20, stop messing around if you need to work on it

and your toughts on linux mint debian edition?

ubuntu 20.04

if you use nvidia maybe you have no problem but for AMD it's a nightmare every time it updates... video doesn't work at all, video is patchy, video is slow, video has random glitches

i don't even get how this happens because since kernel 5 AMD has open sourced the whole thing

and linus softened up on the woke politics in recent years in a way that was disturbing

he used to be hard ass, "salty" as you pussies call it... look at his post about why he didn't write git in C++ seriously, how do you go from that to "ok, master is not ok, let's call it main branch"

NO I WANT MI MASTER BRANCH DAM YOAU

but i have submitted to this retardation because nag nudge nag nudge but i don't forget and i will never forgive

used to love his nvidia speech.
