We need a client with better filters. I am convinced there is a way to purge large swaths of the global timeline to get it down to something manageable, but I don't think existing clients are powerful enough yet without way too much manual work.

Of course, maybe by the time clients get better the global timeline will be even worse lol. Nostr as it's currently conceived is fundamentally flawed.
