#Meshtastic πŸ•Έ is an open-source radio-based mesh networking platform designed to facilitate decentralized, long-range, and ad-hoc communication. #LoRa radio πŸ“» devices can be used to create long range mesh network without cellular service for low bandwidth data transmission over unlicensed radio bands. Many readymade devices (+ DIY modules) available for purchase from many online stores. Internet connectivity from such isolated radio mesh network is optional via bridge gateway. πŸ₯œshell summary - dig github also e.g. ESP32 / TTGO/LILYGO/Audrino 433MHz–8Km–1Mbps LoRa - can have chip NEO-M8N - GNSS receiver also UART IoT

First time reading about this...

Could it be possible to hook up #meshtastic #LoRa onto a solar plane or balloon to gain reach?

Example plane https://solarplane.agh.edu.pl/#

Weight, dimensions and electric energy management could be limiting factors.

I have a Helium Network "miner" that runs on the LoRaWan Network.

It was a crypto gimmick a few years ago but I still kept it running with my 50 foot antenna that has a 600km range on it.

I also run a WeatherXM weather station off of it.

Would this support #meshstatic
