All this doom and gloom and yet whenever I look, there is no evidence that we have ever depleted a single natural resource, ever.

All the propaganda suggests it's possible that we could, but not one example can be provided because it appears to be a fabrication designed to scare people, while providing solutions that enrich the liars and ultimately curb the choices we have.

As far as I can tell, natural resources are infinite.

An example of the rubbish these people publish.

"According to astronomers, we can expect the Sun's luminosity to increase by about 6% every billion years or so. While 6% might not seem like much, it's enough to render our planet inhospitable to life as we know it in just about 1.1 billion years."

"Although the colonization of Mars or similar efforts could give us more time, the universe is rapidly expanding. There will come a time where the night sky is completely blank."

"Eventually, the stars will go out. Eventually, the universe will grow cold. Eventually, the entire cosmos will be nothing but a frozen tundra of eternal darkness. The temperature will near absolute zero. Then the temperature will reach absolute zero. All movement, down to the very last atom, will stop."

I feel bad for anyone who buys into this complete fiction.

Not infinite. But as we use up an item, the price goes up and spurs research into alternatives.

We "used up" easy whale oil, as the number went down, we found something to replace it. If we keep using something and refuse to change, we will run out. Whales would not be able to provide what we need now. We would be our of them.

Oil is not unlimited. some places it costs $15 a barrel to get out, others $98. But when the price goes up, bio based oil becomes competitive around $99.

The key is being willing to change.

We can't keep using coal as a power source. Is natural gas better? in some ways yes, Is Solar better? also in some ways.

While they are not infinite they are limited in price.

You can't use up something that cannot be used up. Zero evidence suggests any minerals, oil, gas, water, etc can be used up.

We moved from other oils because we found better sources.

Why can't we keep using coal? It's going to 'run out'? I don't buy that, and there is nothing to support these vacuous statements.

Yes, price will change. That doesn't mean that we lose access or deplete those resources.

Changes in cost are an artificial means of reducing access to a resource. There will always be more oil wells, mineral deposit mines, etc.

Wales are very much finite, so yes, not a sustainable resource, because they can all die out.

Not true for water, minerals, etc.
