The christians, in the following 300 years were the biggest pain in the ass of rome, not just in Palestine but the entire balkans/mediterranean region. That's how the empire split into the catholic and the orthodox after Constantine and the Council of Nicaea.
I wouldn't call pushing over the teetering, internally collapsing corruption a conquest though.
The simple fact is that the virgin birth, and the resurrection are stories from ancient Babylonian origin, relating to Marduk, Samirimus, and the little boy Nimrod, who was their son, who took Samirimus as his wife and killed Marduk, becoming the king of Babylon who built the Tower of Babel. The babylonians followed the Cult of Kings and whoever held that position was the incarnation of the Sun God.
And via the doctrine of transubstantiation (incarnating of spiritual beings) the Communion is literally cannibalism.
These three elements, and the associated Holy Trinity are old pagan traditions.
I was raised being told that Christmas and Easter were both pagan festivals of the Sun God, and the church in general did not celebrate them.
Not that it says anything, just go look up the frauds Ellen White and John Harvey Kellogg if you want to learn more about the church I was raised in. My mother's big brother was Mormon too. They literally have stories about humans with high technology being the real, and contemporary Angels. Their stories are very closely connected to modern stories about aliens.
