Trolling is attention farming, a segment of counter influencers pretending they don’t want influence. There’s no accountability by design and their own failings are hidden so can’t be weaponized.

I still think anonymity is important to protect. Nyms establish reputations too.

This is a curious post. Most people who discuss trolling argue for de-anonymizing accounts. I follow a lot of reputable nyms and I support their reasons for remaining anonymous.

I believe in free speech more than I hate trolls. 🤜🤛

But society is antifragyl! Allways finds a way to deal with that, often so simple an elegant concepts as ”don't feed the troll" solves that kind of problem seamlessly for those who are wise enought to adopt them

Yeah, that doesn’t always work, and sometimes trolling actually becomes obsessive, intimidating, and dangerously slanderous. I certainly do not have the answers on how to deal with those kinds of situation’s… I’m trying to figure that out on my own in a way that does not compromise my values, nor my mental health.
