I mean a public/free access relay (without restriction r+w) wdyt if you have a 1TB SSD and several free space available? Could be more worried about the concurrent connections at the network level?

In short, what's the most demanding to the device in terms of resources a Nostr relay service with high demand?

Yep, concurrent connections are limited by your router, also ram and demand of i/o of the db

Householder routers and internet providers are the bottleneck, you can't scale too much from your home.
