i am very lucky that a recent sudden loss of my vision did prove to be caused by mostly artificial sweeteners and modified starches and i'm almost completely back to normal... i need to put things a tiny bit further from my eyes but my resolution overall is the same as ever

my vision was always ridiculously sharp, so it was really alarming losing it

put it this way, in 2017 i owned a 24" 4k dell panel... i could just barely notice the pixels, and i was able to run 4 columns of source code across this thing

now i have a 32" 4k panel, and it's further away to have the same result now, i can't get closer to it for a bigger field

though that may change as i continue to correct my problem, i imagine my neuromuscularoptical system still has some ways to go yet

i'm kinda saying this by way of encouragement to tell you that it's possible to recover vision if you have lost it, without artifice, to some degree, in some situations, even without fancy techniques as i have heard of

there is SO MUCH bullshit around optometry because they don't even consider that diet and exercise might be the best treatment

Fully agree, I find alcohol and too much sugar will impact my vision.

I've had a stress related pressure in one eye from my uni days, that impacted me about a decade ago, better now I'm controlling my stress levels. I was also deliberately sprayed in the eyes with a chemical a few years ago, that caused some issues.
