It's the other way round - the us election has become a(nother) bitcoin Trojan horse operation.

If trump brings bitcoin fully into the global financial system without the decade of conflict I was expecting before government capitulated, then anything else he might do is completely irrelevant - and anyone who cares about humanity should root for him and do anything in their power to bring about his election

I think if US officially hodls bitcoin as a reserve asset that would substantially establish it as part of the global financial system forever, and that doesn't feel far fetched at all.

Just as good and a bonus would be if he actively advocates to protect its free / private use - and reverses the trend to criminalization etc, and again that doesn't feel unlikley if he gets in.

I don’t disagree that if he speeds up adoption that would be a good thing, but it is an if. And, since mass adoption is a when and not an if, are the side effects of Trump as president and everything that goes along with that worth increased adoption speed?

I don’t know the answer but I think it’s a valid question.

Wouldn’t it be nice if those weren’t the only options.

Imagine what if would be like to vote for the best candidate rather than the least bad.
