it takes time for people to recognise it... even just yesterday i heard a smart guy say he believed two meme coin founders that they weren't running a racket 🤦♂️
it took time for me... first there was steem, and that got taken over by a scammer-troll, and the rest of the upper echelon were clearly corrupted by their power... then cosmos, who i saw three separate examples up close, one including the abrupt firing of a recruiter who was about to get me a job working for the ignite scaffolding project... i was working for a subcontractor at the time, and there was a parade of rackets looking for devs, and this was after being in energy.world for 3 months and being kicked for speaking my mind about the security flaws of a colleauge's proposal in harsh terms, and then being frozen out of another team for not accepting to be part of a routine of typical cult public confession and scapegoat shaming ritual
and then after all those, i watched terra/luna, celsius, and all the rest blow up during my time with the subcontractor in late 2021 and i bumbled onto bitcoin twitter and from that point on i became a full blown maxi also
i do my best to keep my real feelings towards the project i am being funded by to build a nostr relay, because i think that nostr is the new bitcoin twitter and the more people i can help bring to this circle the better, but it gets hard sometimes catching myself almost saying "shitcoin" referring to "smart contract" platforms in general
