If bitcoin becomes the world reserve currency, then there's a good chance it has failed.
Why? Rev 13:17, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
How would this prophecy be fulfilled? A centralized, global currency.
If bitcoin becomes this said currency, then it is of the beast.
I pray that bitcoin would remain the antithesis of the beast and the world system. Not become it.

yes, I believe this is a misinterpretation. the issue at stake in Revelation is permission not global use.
global use does not imply centralization.
However, when it says ALL who don't receive the mark, this implies permissioned at a global level. Can't have ALL without global
I get that, but bitcoin doesn't meet the permissioned requirement. you can have the ALL without the PERMISSION. It's that way with the call to faith in Christ. It goes out to all, but it is not required for life on earth (obviously it is for eternal or abundant life).
