One of the oldest sites around, and they are coming up with any reason not to excavate. One could only assume TPTB want to keep some things buried.

100%. Even if he's completely wrong, his version of events is more plausible than the garbage they teach us. This isn't the only site that they won't excavate further to 'preserve'. Lets 'preserve' a bunch of old structures covered up in mud... idiots.
